Vintage Baby Bonnet

I knit this vintage look baby bonnet in a few evenings. I tried to find a hat pattern I liked on the web to no avail..I found a few but did not agree with some of the methods etc, so this is my own pattern.
Its made from 100% cotton...Love it!

See this bear? I wrote this pattern for Crochet World back in the 90's. His head is actually supposed to be and was crocheted to be more cocked to the side actually on the blanket but during shipping they must have tried to straighten it out. I wrote a few for them.. I have seen it on Freepatterns.com It is no longer there but this person is Selling them..I wonder if I could get a kickback? LOL

Hello Kitty!

Finally finished this Hello Kitty hat for my grandaughter...The embroidery took longer than the hat! Yuk...Loved making the hat dislike embroidery. Anywho its done and ready for little Miss Chloe to wear! My pattern is a baby hat pattern I have used many times before. I raveled the hat and used many other ideas from the multiple Hello Kitty hat patterns on the web. I am working also on my Noro Granny..No particular pattern just random colors from Noro and a giant granny..I am making this for my new love seat for my porch. I dont have it yet but I am saving for it. I dont really like Noro and cannot believe it is sock yarn. The socks would feel like straw. The feeling of this yarn is similar to sisal twine. Anyway its beautiful and it will look smashing on my love seat..Off to my pool to chill! Great weekend y'all!

Back on Track

Trying to get back on track. Have had a month of fun with my company now I need to buckle down and complete some projects.. Here is a yummy scarf for a friend of mine! I also was able to start my Noro granny Its beautiful yarn but has a straw like feeling to it. Pictures to follow! And a picture of my kitty Isis she has to get in on everything!

A Wild Hair!

I got a wild hair up my butt yesterday..Did anyone ever say that to you? Anyway I did and decided even though my parents will be here in days and I have a billion things to do that I needed to crochet this tea cozy... I fell in love with this one from Crochet with Raymond. But started to knit it and realized I dont knit that fast. So I crocheted the pot area of this last night and the roses after work today. I have also been working on this scarf..I adore this yarn and this scarf. I got the idea HERE Dawn Sparks so creative! Visit her blog you wont be sorry! You take two totally different yarns. I stayed closed to the same families of colors.. and you knit two purl two across and then change colors every two rows it is amazing how the colors come together.. Oh yea it needs to be varigated! And PS this yarn is amazing. I thought oh no not another celebrity yarn.. but it is so soft and drapes so nice and no pilling.
I am questioning my reasons for blogging lately a few of my friends have dropped off the blogging circut.. I am not sure.. I really enjoy my friends out here but it is hard to find the time.. Till later!

I am still crocheting my doily from crochet a long, had a few errors and I cannot stand it I just have to pull them out when I notice them..I have a bad case of perfectionism.

Moving right along

I started my doily for the CAL over at Crochet Galore I love doilies and I use them all over my house...I think they are probably my favorite thing to crochet.. Anyway had some time this morning and did some hooking! Here is my progress so far..I love the color took me a while to find it. I purchased online it matches my new bedroom to a T! So excited. I love to make QC! and QC clusters!
