COMPLETED!

My bright colors afghan is finally completed. My friend found out she is having a girl and will surely love it. In other news, for those of you who know the dirty details of my life. He has another attorney the fourth. So our pretrials will not even be held till the end of August, putting our lives once again on hold. The only consolation is he is still in jail. PS The photos are clickable so you can get a good look at chloe and her happy face!

Fabric Therapy

You can click on the image for a close look

This week has been an emotionally charged teenage week. If you have a teenager you know what I am talking about. They can suck the life right out of you, and as a child I was taught Fabric Therapy. When life sucks, go buy some fabric.
My mother used to take us to the fabric store in our small town, ACME. I remember as a child my sister and I would feel the fabrics and plan our own projects. While mother scanned the McCall's catalog for her selection, I believe looking back on those times it was her "Therapy" to get out of the house and do some little thing she enjoyed.
Soooooooooo........I was really cranky this week and what was my thought... JOANN'S!

When I arrived, they were having a massive 1/2 off sale. I was so glad I went alone. If you bring someone with you, you have to look at their selections and ask their opinion and wait up for them. NAAAAAAAA, this therapy must be done solo and with a blank check.
This was one of my selections. Its a denim fabric with a shimmer to it, I don't know if you can see it from the photo and yes the second fabric is a flannel and yes it has geese on it. My secret project will be posted at a later date. ANYWHO...I felt much better in the glare of fluorescent lights and mountains of fabric. When my number was called and when the friendly Joann's employee said how much, I said "I will take it all!" "The whole bolt? She said?" "Yes, I said its Therapy" (and at a dollar a yard how could I not!) Anyway I feel much better now(Thanks Mom)

Chillin

I think all we did was eat this weekend. It was good to have Chelsea's boyfriend around because he can eat! It reminds me of when my son is around how he can eat. We smoked some ribs and hung by the pool, we chilled!

I hate Mondays

I truly hate Mondays, I start feeling the dread of Mondays sometime around noon on Sunday. I was actually jealous of my cat this AM when she gave me the look, like hey you have to get up not me!
Mondays are always a nightmare at our office because everyone is calling trying to get in first thing Monday due to the fact that they were....oh let me see......Jet skiing, fell off a dock, slipped at a pool, dropped motorcycle on my foot, these are a few of my favorites!

Also including a WIP (work in progress) need to add 2 more sections, teal and purple. Havent decided if this will be a shower gift or a gift for charity.

Mothers Day!

Happy Mothers day to all you mothers out there. I am just glad its Sunday and I don't have to work. We mothers deserve all the praise we get, its a hard job. No one ever gave us a outline to follow. I would trade teenage drama for crappy diapers any day!

Still sewing and creating.   This wall hanging/quilt was made at the recent quilt show in Lakeland Florida.  My mom and I attended and took...
