Happy Holidays

Happy Holidays to all my wonderful followers.  I will not be posting till after the holidays.  I am as busy as you are and looking forward to time with the family, and finishing up some projects.

 My thoughts today are with the families in Connecticut as I am sure yours our.  I will be praying for them in the coming days knowing how hard this time is for them.

Just some random shots from my creative area...My scrap bin that I have been using up quite a bit it used to be overflowing! A pin cushion I made and some Bonnie and Camille fabric.  Working on some Christmas items but have been sick these last few days so kind of been down for the count.  Starting to feel better.

Christmas hooking

Cowls and scarves for Christmas.. Cowl is from Peoples Web and uses simply soft pattern is free and  it is HERE 

Ribbed scarf is just sc no pattern plenty of examples on Lion Brands web site.  Just made as long as I wanted and started sc in back loop only with Lion brand thick and quick.

Monday accomplishments

I was ever so lucky to get a Monday off.  I hate Mondays, today was great I was able to wash my floors and do laundry.  I made this place mat while doing laundry in between loads today. Its by Pricilla..I have had the pattern since the 90's.  She used to be a very big designer. I don't know what happened but she kind of dropped out of the crochet pattern designing. Very talented. Her patterns are so easy and very clear.  You have to go to ravelry and it will take you to the way back machine to get her pattern.
 My only complaint is the last row makes no sense.  I went with sc all around.  Have you done this one?  I see someone on Ravelry said the same thing row 15 makes no sense to them either. Anywho blocked with Wrinkle release..Love it. and one entire skein of Kitchen cotton, I had about 12 inches left.

Still hookin!

It it acutally almost November?  I am sooo busy.  But still find some time to hook.  It has actually dipped into the low 70's here and I am thrilled.  So of course today while my grandchild was sleeping next to me on the couch I made this pretty blue hat! I love it the pattern is from Jenn likes yarn!  Find it here!
