Shizuku!

Love this scarf! Love this yarn...amazing by Lion brand. Great colors. I am basically a beginner/intermediate knitter.. I learned the basics as a child and never took it farther than knit and purl.
U tube has helped me learn so much! This is Shizuku by Angela Tong. She is a wonderful designer and this was a fun knit. I made it more than half way and made a mistake and had to rip out! YIKES that was upsetting. That is what frustrates me about knitting.. Crochet is easy peasy to fix, knitting not so much and its very easy to create another error by trying to fix. I learned so much doing this scarf I love it and cannot wait to do another. Its fun and funky!

I sat in front of the tube all day crocheting, something I never do..My dog thought I would not notice him on my couch! Working on a bunting for my sewing room.. I got the pattern from Crochet with Raymond. I love her stuff.

Love the scarf hate the yarn!

I am knitting and crocheting my fingers to the bone! I really enjoyed making this scarf! Fun and easy...However, the yarn not so much..Its Lion Brand Homespun.. Its very splitty and hard to work with. I love Lion Brand and this is the first yarn I dislike from them.. Colors are amazing though...Later Y'all!

Coming back to life!

I am feeling much better after that awful stomach thing! Lost some weight..not the way I want to do it..Worked on this hat during my recovery. Its a Balaclava hat. Its for my Dad. He rides his Harley in the winter and has a house in PA so I figured he might like it. It is definitely a boring knit towards the end. Notes to self watch ladders towards the end. Otherwise I enjoyed it and used Vanna's yarn. Pattern is HERE
Dad does not read my blog so I am pretty safe putting his Christmas gift online! Later Y'all!

Thought of making a matching one for my grandson but he hates hats..He has pull them off since he could reach his head..Chloe on the other hand is so easy going she will love this. Later Y'all!

The other is a project I have totally fallen in love with. Crochet snowflake motifs, for a table runner..Shhhh

Towel Christmas Angel

Its gunna get cold here this weekend! I cannot wait..It has me in the mood for Christmas! I started today with a Christmas Towel angel..So much fun to make easy peasy and people love them! After Christmas you can take the angel apart and use the potholder, towel and dishcloth! As you can see it is held together by ribbon! You can make a long loop with the ribbon so it can be hung on a doornob in the kitchen during the holidays! All you do is acordian style fold a towel and tie off a head..acordian style fold dishcloth and potholder for wings..Tie ribbon around end of dishcloth for hands and she is a praying Christmas angel! Have fun!

Cheap Thrills

I'm still here! I have been sooo busy. I am trying to stay away from the computer and the TV...It's just no good..I have been working on some Christmas gifts and finishing some things for charity, but mostly enjoying my family.
My husband got a Kayak and we have been Kayaking after work.. Its great I read he paddles and fishes. The guy asked him when he bought the Kayak "Sir how many paddles would you like.. I said ONE! I don't paddle I just sit and enjoy!
I am putting up some pictures of my fall table.. I call it cheap thrills because Walmart has the dishes and the glasses for 3 dollars! Hello! Deal! They are from Better Homes and Gardens collections. The colors are amazing you must go see them. I had such a very hard time deciding between green dishes, the pumpkin colors or the plum. The last place setting on the left has my Longaberger square bowls, cannot decide if I will use them or not. I coordinate everything with my Longaberger Pottery. My Mom bought me my set after I got married. It is still like new and she adds to it occasionally for my birthday or Christmas. Longaberger is still the best!
The acorns that I have tossed randomly around the house were 2 dollars at Joann's for a set of six. Pumpkins were a dollar at I think Big Lots.
I love to change my table with the seasons. I keep it set at all times, so when my grandson comes over he always tries to find his seat and sit at the table he thinks its time to eat all the time! It is soooo funny!
Till next time! Hugs Neicee

Still sewing and creating.   This wall hanging/quilt was made at the recent quilt show in Lakeland Florida.  My mom and I attended and took...
